The buck stops here! Martin’s been running Homelink since 2006, and in that time, the business has gone from strength to strength, growing year on year. Prior to joining the family business, Martin spent a successful career in projects and facilities management at BAE Systems.
Driven, motivated and forward thinking, Martin is always looking for ways to improve and develop our service. Passionate about property and a real people person, Martin spends a lot of his time meeting with new and existing clients, whilst working closely with the rest of the team to ensure that we’re moving forward and keeping all our clients happy. He’s a stickler for detail, and renowned in the office for his long emails!
Outside of the office, Martin likes spending time with his two children, playing football (he’s a Hull City fan), eating out. He’s also a big fan of scooters, and once rode the 20 hour round trip from Hull to the Isle of White on an old, vintage Lambretta.
Nicola is the Hub of the Lettings team, if you’ve contacted us already then there is a good chance you’ve will have spoken to her.
Nicola is front of house and a central figure within the lettings team, responsible for ensuring that new tenant applications progress swiftly and meet our referencing criteria as well as arranging for safety checks in properties, dealing with maintenance and general enquiries.
Nicola always has a smile on her face, incredibly positive and always happy to help.
Outside of work Nicola spends her time running, taking part in local Parkruns, 10K’s and half marathons, so don’t be surprised to see her running around Cottingham.
If you need support with any aspect of block management, then Karena is the person you need to speak to. Karena joined Homelink in April 2013 – and we often wonder how we ever managed without her.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of our leasehold development, Karena deals with everything from customer queries and meetings, to site inspections, repairs, budgets, health and safety audits and conveyancing enquiries. In addition, she’s also responsible for controlling the bank accounts of each development – ensuring that all the service charges are collected on time.
Organised, efficient and extremely busy, Karena has a background in customer service, and likes to go the extra mile for our block management clients. She’s famous for her organisational skills, and the mountains of post it notes, ‘sign here’ stickers and bulldog clips she gets through!
When not at work, Karena likes spending time with her son, Harrison. Karena also has a fun claim to fame – she once played netball against former England Manager Steve McLaren!
Denise is as good as family – she’s been with Homelink since 1992, and in that time, helped to steer the company into the business it is today.
An experienced, dedicated property expert with unrivalled industry experience and local knowledge, Denise works front of house, providing a friendly welcome to our customers, whilst making sure the company runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Denise is also responsible for property administration, checking and inspecting properties, arranging viewings, customer queries and dealing with repairs. Our landlord clients say Denise has the most important job in the company – she’s responsible for paying them their rent!
Outside of work, Denise loves walking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She’s also big into crafty things, and makes all her own greeting cards.
Friendly, committed and always happy to help our clients, Jackie is responsible for arranging and attending viewings, property valuations, and supporting both landlords and tenants with all their queries.
Jackie has worked in lettings for a number of years, following a successful spell working for a local solicitor. When not at work, Jackie loves travelling and spending time with her family. She’s also a keen gardener, and likes to knit.
Jackie’s big claim to fame is that she once sang a duet with ‘The One and Only’ Chesney Hawkes – joining him on stage to sing “Somewhere in the Night” in front of a packed theatre audience!
Linda looks after our landlord clients, helping to find the perfect tenants for their properties and negotiating the optimum rent.
Linda is vastly experienced with over 20 years’ experience working in industry, extremely motivated and organised and takes the time to get to know and understand our landlords and their properties. She’s also responsible for helping to ensure that things run smoothly for our tenants, supporting them through the moving in process, inspecting properties and when the time comes checking them out.
Away from the office, Linda loves spending time with her family, travelling and watching soaps, originally from the North East Linda also follows Sunderland.
